Here at Sherman Chevrolet, we are so delighted to honor Mackenzie Severson with a $1,000.00 scholarship for her outstanding achievements as our A+ Athlete of the Week. Mackenzie is a top-performing student who ranks in the top ten percent of her class and excels as a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. She has earned recognition in a variety of competitions, including winning 1st place in UIL persuasive and informative speaking, and placing in the top four in both marketing at the National Beta Club Convention and recyclable art. She also took first place in district for FFA.
Mackenzie balances a part-time job with volunteering for organizations like Toys for Tots, food pantries, and blood drives, while also helping with Little League. Additionally, she’s been racing dirt cars since age 7, demonstrating her drive and determination. In her athletic pursuits, Mackenzie is a four-sport athlete at Whitewright High School. She plays as an academic all-district post player for the Lady Tigers basketball team, runs track, and plays softball. As an all-American cheerleader, she has earned the cheer leadership and pin-it-forward awards. Her coaches describe her as a leader who gives her all, both on the court and in every sport, she competes in. Mackenzie credits sports for shaping her through leadership, teamwork, and resilience, especially after a serious injury, making her a strong student, athlete, and community member.

Sherman Chevrolet is thrilled to honor Reese Futch with a $1,000 Texoma Excellence in Fine Arts Scholarship for his outstanding achievements. Reese is a talented actor and performer who has dedicated four years to Whitewright High School’s theatre program, earning regional qualifications in Prose and Poetry Interpretation three times. Beyond the stage, he excelled on the yearbook staff and won Reserve Grand Champion in Photography at the Loy Lake Show. In theatre, Reese has been a crucial member of the One Act Play team, earning All-Star Cast honors for two years and contributing to their advancement to higher rounds for three consecutive years. His dedication and leadership shine both as an actor and as a stage crew member, inspiring his peers to explore their own artistic potential. Despite a challenging schedule that includes participating in football, track, and powerlifting, as well as taking advanced and dual-credit classes, Reese has shown extraordinary commitment to his craft. His ability to balance academics, athletics, and fine arts demonstrates an impressive work ethic and determination. Reese inspires others as a student athlete and performer, captivating with his powerful voice and demonstrating perseverance by overcoming challenges to honor his commitments. Reese plans to attend Texas Tech University to pursue acting and voice interpretation in their Fine Arts department. As a first-generation college student, this scholarship will support his journey toward achieving his dreams. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Southfork Ranch, we look forward to the event becoming a beloved tradition for years to come. The 2025 rodeo is already scheduled and will take place May 30-June 1st at South Fork Ranch in Parker TX!

The Texoma Back the Badge Foundation was established to help raise awareness and assist in minimizing the financial burden often placed on Law Enforcement agency employees who experience catastrophic circumstances including illness, serious injury, or death. The Back the Badge annual golf tournament helps raise money for this incredible foundation! Over the years, close to $500,000 has been raised! Here at Sherman Chevrolet, we are so proud to support local officers and their families!

Texas Exposition & Livestock Show (TELS) features 4-H kids who raise animals, show them and then we go to the auction and bid on them.  All the money goes to the kids for all their hard work and they get to keep the animals.

Every year Pottsboro FFA Booster Club holds a number of fundraisers to help raise funds to support our kids. Here at Sherman Chevrolet, we are proud to be a supporter of one of their Clay Shooting Competition event!

Join us in supporting an amazing organization! Bras for the Cause is nonprofit foundation that is committed to raising money to help those who are uninsured or underinsured, have access to mammograms, cervical screenings and related medical programs or projects.

Sherman Chevtolet is an official Boot Scootin Ball Sponsor! This is the largest fundraiser for Preston Volunteer Emergency Services. The event features dining, drinks, dancing, and live and silent auctions that you won’t want to miss. The impact of the Boot Scootin’ Ball cannot be underestimated. Through this event, more than $3,000,000 has been raised, enabling the PVES Foundation to leverage additional grants and acquire the necessary resources, such as equipment and supplies.
