Chevy Silverado HD Gets Multi-Flex Tailgate

The heavy-duty 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD have joined the light-duty Silverado 1500 in offering the recently introduced Multi-Flex Tailgate. Now, you can work hard and smart thanks to the tailgate’s enhanced functionality.

Six different functions

Truck owners know that a tailgate is often not just a tailgate. Depending on the job and the situation, it may need to be a desk, a seat, or a step. Thanks to six different configurations, which you can activate using the key fob, the interior instrument panel, or two buttons on the tailgate itself, the Multi-Flex Tailgate on the Silverado can be all of these things and more.

It includes two gates, the inner of which can fold into a large step capable of carrying 375 pounds. The primary, outer gate behaves just like a regular tailgate but also features a load stop to prevent extra-long items from sliding out of the bed. The inner gate also has its own load stop function and can be configured into a standing desk for your work items.
