Ultium Charge 360
For a long time, one of the most significant drawbacks to modern electric vehicles was charging times and access to a charging infrastructure. Now, as battery and charging technology continues to develop, charge times are dropping and charging stations are more widely available. Recently, General Motors revealed its Ultium Charge 360 program, which it hopes will help simplify and increase access to the charging process.
Ultium Charge 360 is designed to make charging your electric vehicle as simple as filling up your car with gas. It hopes to increase access to charging stations, add charging information to GM mobile apps, and give you access to other EV-related services.
GM currently has plans to launch 30 new electric vehicles by the end of 2025. Ultium Charge 360 will make it easier for new EV owners to find the charging stations they need by providing real-time information on nearly 60,000 charging stations across the United States and Canada.
You will be able to plan trips and map-out nearby charging stations along your route. You will even be able to pay for your charge using your phone.
As part of the Ultium Charge 360 program, GM will cover the installation cost of Level 2 charging at a customer’s home. This is available for anyone who buys or leases a new 2022 Bolt EUV or Bolt EV.
